12

Dr. Swedish called today with Monday's hcg test results. It's down to twelve. He said he was pleased that the numbers are going down nicely and that he's hoping the levels will be below five for my next visit Monday. He asked how things were going and if I had contacted the fertility clinic in Sweden. I said "better" and "yes" and continued by telling him about my conversation with Dr. Boss Lady in Sweden and the FET in February.

After we hung up I gave myself a big hug. I thanked my body for working through this and taking care of things naturally. I thanked it for giving me some sort of a consolation in this mess. And then I apologized for all the cursing it has received over the past month.

I also can't thank all of you enough for all the kind words and support through these weeks of hardship. You helped me get through the dark waters and made me want to move towards the surface.

Every day I'm taking another step in the right direction.

  1. Again, I am so sorry you had to endure all that you did, but it's really nice to see you doing much better. Best wishes!

  3. I am glad your body is taking care of things naturally. I remember being both angry at my body for miscarrying and yet amazed that it could see that my pregnancy was not progressing and just do what it needed to do to eliminate it. Hugs.

  4. I'm so sorry again about Acrobat but I'm happy that you're starting to feel better. It took a long time for my HCG to drop to zero, so I'm glad you have a little time before the February FET and don't need to stress about it.

You said it beautifully about thanking your body. So often I find myself cursing my body over IF but I really need to take the time to thank it for all the things it does so well. I am healthy and I am strong. That is so much more than many other people have. I will get past this IF somehow and I need my body as an ally. I will try not to take it for granted in the future.

  7. I would give you a big hug too if I could! It sounds from this
post that you really are on the path to healing and I am so pleased
to hear it. I praise your body for doing what it needs to do and I think I will take some advice from you and learn to love my body a little bit more.

  10. That drop is amazing. It took me nearly two months for my HCG to get to zero. Yeah body! My RE told me that when you get pregnant through IVF the odds of getting pregnant again with frozen embryos from the same cycle goes way up. It was true for me, I hope that the same is true for you.

  13. I am thinking about you. I hope that your numbers are where they need to be for Monday.

I did the pineapple also. I only eat it the five days before transfer, not the day of. And, really... not that much. I just bought one and cut it into fives big pieces. I think it just gives pieces of mind that I am trying something.
