It was meant to show you how to manage something that became increasingly and gradually uncomfortable. It was amazing how all the men and/or husbands in the class buckled and could barely make it to a minute while the women went far beyond that.

I can assure you that labor does not feel like ice or a pin -- it is mind altering and painfully beautiful. And that's coming from a woman who was in labor 30 hours with no drugs or other interventions.

You'll do beautifully because it is what we, as women, are meant to do. Best of luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308617633438401442.post-50674000767864635062011-02-22T14:54:19.399+00:002011-02-22T14:54:19.399+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.Reeduhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08598970316769890372noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308617633438401442.post-37910009000119941212011-02-21T17:19:18.590+00:002011-02-21T17:19:18.590+00:00What a fabulous class! Its fun to practice those same techniques while holding ice in a ziplock bag! Don't forget, for some woman this can be a really wonderful experience, and although challenging, it can also be amazing! Keep practicing the breathing techniques :)tishihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05652109105463448687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308617633438401442.post-14301327087424194392011-02-18T22:21:34.607+00:002011-02-18T22:21:34.607+00:00That sounds like fun...! I was definitely into the epidural option (I don't know what your thoughts are) but, after about 25 mins of pretty bad pain, I had the epidural and the rest of my experience was almost pleasant. So, don't fret.

Also.... Lakenheath...I have so many connections to that base. My cousin and her husband live in Suffolk (Barnham) and he commutes there daily. He's a psychologist. My DH's cousin's wife's brother is also stationed at Lakenheath. He works radars.. and lastly, my mom lived on that base as a child (except I'm not sure if it was called that then.) Small world. :)Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10341557082868814622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1308617633438401442.post-38859425986928465962011-02-18T20:40:27.650+00:002011-02-18T20:40:27.650+00:00Clothespins, ahhhhh, eek, cough , ooh!
